Assessment, guide dog experiences, equipment, placement, follow up and aftercare (German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers).

Full or half day mobility adventures.

Your next step in independence. Take your training on the go and design your mobility adventure with our team. These fully supported 2-7 day adventures should challenge & excite you!

Open to either blind or autistic partipants. 

Overview:

Work with a qualified Trainer for ½ day (weekdays).

Weekends available with negotiation. 

Hours of program: 9:30AM-1:30PM or 4:00PM-8:00PM.
Learn how guide dogs are raised and trained. 

Space for 1 student per week only. 

This four-day ”guide dogs gone wild” educational and adventure camp will let you put your “handle” down so you can train your dog in a whole new way and, maybe even try something new together.
Open to current clients of Stapell only (whether you have a Stapell Working Dog or not) who have used SWD services within the last twelve months prior to camp. Invitation only. 

Our fishing & kayaking program is open to anyone with a disability, not solely vision impairment. All equipment and safety gear is provided. Instruction is from a master sporting fisherman who also specializes in vision impairment. Contact STAPELL to find out more. 

The BRP offers 4.5 hour workshops on horsemanship to blind equestrians from a retired professional equestrian competitor who is also an Orientation & Mobility Specialist, Guide Dog Mobility Instructor specialist, and specialist animal trainer. Providing respite to you (for your Carer or other informal supports). Eligibility and T's & C's apply. 

Our career-changed guide dogs who "don't quite make it." These dogs will NOT have public access rights. You can find out more about them in our "Rehoming" section. Program for legitimate service dog organisations only. 

Boarding requires two part-time carers for each group of dogs (a morning-midday shift & a midday-night shift).   Boarding dogs receive daily playtime, a recreational walk and daily grooming. Working in harness/training upon negotiation.
